Walking Tour of Historic Fort Huger - Sesquicentennial Event

Part of American history since 1623, and originally known as the Castle, this fort was constructed to protect the Jamestown colonists from Native Americans and raiding Spaniards. Today, Fort Boykin remains essentially intact and constitutes a well-preserved example of military architecture of the Civil War era.

Come visit us on July 13 and watch 100 +/- Cigarette style boats dock at Smithfield Station for lunch! The Station is the second stop on the 27th Annual Richmond Power Boat Association Jammin' on the James Poker Run. Boats should begin arriving at 10:30 and depart around 1:30. Truly a sight to see and hear!
