Unparalleled amenities and uncompromising service are the landmark of this boutique inn, offering complimentary parking, continental breakfast, wireless Internet access, business center, library/study with scenic river overlook, waterfront conference space and so much more.
Opened in September 2007, The Lodge at Smithfield Station is our newest addition and offers 22 boutique rooms. These beautiful waterfront rooms feature king size beds, fireplaces, granite counters, walk-in tile showers and upscale amenities plus all but two of these rooms have private balconies.
Modeled after the Hooper Strait Light in Maryland, now located at the Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Maryland, the Light at Smithfield is an exact replica of a working Chesapeake Bay Style Lighthouse and boasts two spacious suites. Enjoy panoramic views of the river, room to entertain and access to the scenic overlook.
The Boardwalk Rooms and Cottages at Smithfield Station are located along the boardwalk between the Lighthouse and the Original Building. These unique rooms are truly waterfront as they sit anywhere from six to twenty feet from the marina and are all on the first floor.
This original structure houses the Smithfield Station restaurant as well as 15 hotel rooms. The exterior of the Station is modeled after the old Coast Guard life saving stations that proliferated the coast of Virginia and Outer Banks of North Carolina.
